Lois Hazel Green, 88, of Fort Myers (formerly Chatham Borough) passed away in Florida on November 16th. A Funeral Service will be held at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St, Chatham on Friday, November 22nd at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Born and raised in Chatham, Lois moved to Fort Myers in 1986. In her early years, she had worked as a secretary for Smith Barney in New York City. Lois was an active member of the Chatham United Methodist Church where she was a soloist in the choir and a member of the Friday Nighters Club. She was also active with the Chatham Community Players. Lois, along with her late husband Robert, were avid square dancers. She was a wonderful artist and especially enjoyed working with watercolors.
Lois was the beloved wife of the late Robert S. Green. She was the loving mother of Joanne Grimm and her husband Steve and Susan Van Dorn and her husband Donald. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brian, Vicki, Kristin, DJ, and Rachel. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois’ memory may be made to www.smiletrain.org.
