Louise Edgar, 92, of Florham Park, NJ, passed peacefully on May 25, 2021. Born in Hazleton, PA, Louise lived in Summit for many years before moving to Florham Park four years ago. She was in charge of the cafeteria at Oratory Prep School in Summit for over 35 years. Louise and her husband Russ ran the coffee shop at the Senior Citizen Building in Summit and created lifelong friendships. A devoted member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Louise was always thinking of others. She loved living on Huntley Rd in Summit and her special neighborhood friends. Louise was pre-deceased by her husband of 61 years, Russell Edgar and her daughter Susan. She is survived by her two children, Kathleen Mandel and her husband Danny, Tommy Edgar and his wife Karen, her niece, Nancy Tennant, 5 grandchildren, Kristin Michiels, Michael and Kyle Edgar, Brett and Andie Mandel and 4 great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Hudson Michiels, Grace and Joseph Edgar. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 587 Springfield Ave. Summit, NJ. Visiting hours, Tuesday, from 4 to 7 pm at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St. Chatham, NJ. Interment St. Teresa’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise’s name may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church to be used toward the Appalachian Service Project.
