~~Louise M. Ferreira, 84, of Springfield passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on March 19, 2016. A Funeral Service will be held at Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church, 888 Stuyvesant Ave in Union on Tuesday, March 22nd at 11am. Friends are invited visit at the church from 10 to 11 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park. Born in Nanticoke , PA, and raised in Newark, Louise had lived in Springfield for 35 years. She was an ordained Deacon at Connecticut Farms and a member of the Presbyterian Women’s Club. Louise will be fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her family and friends and her dedication to her church and the food pantry.
Louise was the beloved wife of John Ferreira. She was the loving mother of Linda Welfel and her husband James and Lisa Scheppers and her husband Gregg. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Scott, Kristen, Tara and Courtney and great grandchildren, Ian, Ava and John. In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise’s memory may be made to Connecticut Presbyterian Church.
