On December 12, 2018, Lucille Trengrove, a long time resident of Summit, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at a hospice facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the age of 98. Lucille was born to Edmond and Bernadette Levesque in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on September 30, 1920. The family moved to Summit in 1927 where her father, a carpenter, was hired to build the Rosary Shrine on Springfield Avenue. Lucille attended St. Teresa School, graduated from Summit High School and went on to work as a telephone operator, at The Summit Herald and at Charlene’s Drug Store. She spent many years in various positions at the Summit Trust Company, as a sales associate at Bonwit Teller and as assistant manager of the Overlook Hospital gift store before retiring to Florida in 2001.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Albert (1971) and her sister, Reine Hudkins and brother, Richard Levesque. She is survived by her daughters, Janice Trengrove of Staten Island, Maureen Tapp of Coconut Creek, Florida and son, Jim Trengrove of Lake Jackson, Virginia, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
