~~Lynette M. Berdej of Cedar Knolls passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on August 23, 2015. Born at Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, South Dakota, Lynette had lived in Cedar Knolls for the past 40 years where she graduated from Whippany Park High School in 1988. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education from William Paterson College. Lynette began her career in Special Education at the Allegro School in Cedar Knolls and later as a special education teacher at Robert R. Lazar Middle School in Montville. She recently was recognized with a Teacher Appreciation Award from Senator Pennachio. Lynette loved dancing, especially ballet and antiquing with her husband. She will be fondly remembered for her passion for teaching and her love and devotion to her family and friends.

Lynette was the beloved wife of 17 years to Edward. She was the devoted daughter to Maria and Stephen Fallat. She is also survived by her cherished sisters, Stephanie Biank and Allison Wagner and her husband Bryan, mother-in-law Anna Berdej and her husband the late Jaroslow Berdej, brother-in-law Bogdan Berdej and his wife Tara as well as many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lynette’s memory may be made to the Allegro School, 125 Ridgedale Ave, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927
