Madeline Basile, 96, formerly of Barnegat, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony and Theresa (nee Nobile) Calabrese, raised in the Ironbound section of Newark, N.J.
Madeline dearly loved her family and friends. She was everyone’s favorite “Aunt Mad”. She had a fun-loving spirit all the way into her 90s. She was a proud Jersey girl, and loved all things Italian, Long Beach Island and dancing with her sister, Sue. Madeline loved visiting with and cooking for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Madeline was predeceased by her husband, Frank Basile; her son, John Basile and her brothers Arnold, Jack, and John. She was the loving mother of son, Joseph Basile and his wife, Jeannette; daughter, Jacqueline Basile and her husband, Fred Geiger; grandmother of Christopher, Melissa, Daniel, and Dominic; sister of Suzanne.
A private service will be held for Madeline on Tuesday, January 18. A celebration of her well-lived life will be held later this spring.
