Margaret “Machie” Jansen, wife of the late Robert Jansen.
Passed away Saturday, December 9th, 2017 at the age of 87.
A life long resident of Green Village, she participated in
many events at the Green Village Methodist Church and the
Fire Department.
In her youth, she played softball with the Green Village
Bobcats as a catcher. She enjoyed many days at the beach and
Lake Hopactong with friends and family. She worked at the local A&P for many years as a meat wrapper until she retired.
She met her husband, Bob Jansen, at the Florham Park Roller Rink and after getting married, resided in Green Village for the rest of her life.
She was a member of the Green Village Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and helped for many years in the Food Concession at the Fire Department Horse Shows.
Survived by a sister, Hilda Camisa of Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Two sons, Robert F and R Neal Jansen and his wife Kathleen, and two grandsons Kenneth (and wife Christine) and Andrew.
There will be a memorial service held at United Methodist Church of Green Village at 130pm on Saturday December 16th, 2017.
