Margaret O. Moyer, 99, lifelong resident of Union, NJ, passed away on June 14, 2022. A funeral service will be held at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. in Union on Monday, June 20th at 1pm. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, June 19th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm.
Born and raised in Union, the daughter of Steven and Mary (Spekhardt) Perger, Margaret graduated from Union High School in 1940. In her earlier years she worked at J. L. Hammett and Company School Supplies in Union. A life member of the Union VFW, Margaret was also a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Union Elks and the Woman’s Club of Union. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her flowers and was an avid Yankees and Giants fan.
Margaret was the beloved wife of over 65 years to the late Wilbur Moyer who passed away in 2015. She was the loving mother of Tim Moyer and his wife Debbie. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Dan Moyer and his wife Christine and Bryan Moyer and his wife Desiree, her great grandchildren, Daniel and Kiera Moyer and her nieces, Susan Perger and Karen Marx.
