~~Margaret R. Werner, 94, of Millburn passed away surrounded by her family at Overlook Hospital on July 9, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave in Short Hills on Monday, July 13th at 10:00am. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave, Springfield on Sunday from 3 to 7pm.

A lifelong resident of Millburn born to the late Joseph and Faustina Policarpio, Margaret graduated from Millburn High School in 1938. She retired as an administrative assistant from the Millburn Recreation Department. Margaret was an active parishioner with St. Rose of Lima including the Life-Lighters and the Madonna dell’ Assunta Society. She volunteered with the Millburn Red Cross as well as numerous soup kitchens. Margaret loved cooking with and for her grandchildren and entertaining friends and family in the home she loved so much. Her favorite past time was grocery shopping. She will be fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her family and faith.

Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Tadeusz Werner. She was the loving mother to Florence Werner and her husband Richard Saunders and Constance Werner-Hopkins and her husband Anthony. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren; Ted Hopkins and fiancé Kathryn Damis, Alexandra Hopkins, Margaret Hopkins and Abby Saunders and dear brother Nicholas Policarpio, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She is predeceased by her siblings; Julio, Joseph and Ralph Policarpio, Fanny Veltre and Mary Anello.
