Margaret F. Wnek, 72, of Union, passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2019. Born and raised in Newark, Margaret lived in Elizabeth before moving to Union 40 years ago. Marge enjoyed interacting with people each day of her 30 year career at Foodtown, which eventually became Stop N Shop, in Union. She was an avid reader who loved rooting for the NY Yankees. A lover of oldies music, she also enjoyed attending concerts. She particularly loved the Borgata in Atlantic City.
Predeceased by her siblings, Patricia and Michael; Marge is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lou; their children Louis and his wife Kimberly, and Tammy Davis and her husband Howard; grandchildren Louis and Anthony Wnek and Jennifer and Cynthia Davis. She is also survived by her siblings Vanessa, Georgina, Renee and George.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 6-9pm at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Avenue in Union. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Margaret may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
