Marie R. Bernaudo- Loving Mother, Grandmother & Sister

Marie R. Bernaudo (nee Mirabelli), 86, of Dumont, NJ, formerly of Union, passed peacefully on November 8, 2013. Born in Cosenza, Italy, Marie spent most of her life in Union and Chatham before moving to Dumont in 2012. she received her teaching degree in Italy. She taught Italian in Berlitz, Italy and Inlingua School of Languages in Summit, NJ, retiring in 2004. Marie was a parishioner at St. Michael the Archangel Church and St. Teresa of Avila Church in Summit. She loved sewing, cooking and traveling. Marie is pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 38 years, Richard Bernaudo. She is the loving mother of Elise Bernaudo Nolan and her husband Walter, Richard Bernaudo and his wife Dr. Janet Byrne, devoted grandmother of Jenna D’Agostini, Ryan Nolan, Luke Byrne and loving sister of Vincenza Clause and Cristina Crispino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 12 at 10:15 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Union. Interment Fair Mount Cemetery, Chatham. Visiting hours Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm from the Bradley Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave, Union. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
