I am writing to you today to let you know about the loss of Marie Desir, the Matriarch of the Desir Family. Mama Desir passed on 9/27 after years of fighting for her life through many health battles, which exemplified how tenacious and strong she was.
Mama Desir dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. All her life decisions hinged on that fact. She migrated to the US in 1979 to create a better life for her family. She could always be counted on for support to her loved ones back in Haiti or in the states. Mama Desir took on the role of mother for her grandchildren after the passing of her daughter who’s left 2 young babies. Her life goal was all about building a better life for her children while being the Rock they all needed and deserved.
Marie is survived by her children Ricardo, Martine, David, Donald, Reginald, Gary and her grandchildren Tracy, Sebastian, Marvin, Diante, Leanna, Mikey, Richcard, Donovan, Michael, Ely and Declan .
Visiting hours at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. in Union, NJ, will be held on Saturday, October 7th from 5 to 8pm. There will be a prayer service at 5:30pm during the visitation which will be available via livestream on her obituary page. Interment is private.
