Marion A Pinkava

Marion Pinkava of Springfield died at Raritan Health and Extended Care in Raritan on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. She was 94. Marion loved dancing and especially her family.


Born and raised in Summit, Marion moved to Springfield and started her family there. In the 60’s she worked as a sales associate for Reinett’s Youth Center in Springfield. She moved to California and was a waitress for the Laddies Donut Shop in Wilmington for 25 years. She returned to Springfield 20 years ago.


Marionwas predeceased by her husband Vincent C. Pinkava, retired Springfield Police Lieutenant, son, Robert Pinkava and her siblings, Robert Wilson, Ruth Chisholm, Samuel Wilson and grandson, Robert Pinkava. She is survived by her daughter, Judith and her husband Russell Evans, grandchildren: Richard and his wife Kelly Gagliardi, Steven and his wife Ann Marie Gagliardi, Anthony and his wife Wendy Gagliardi, Brian Gagliardi, John Pinkava, 12 great-grandchildren and her sister Margaret Golden.
