Maritza Evelyn Pedre, 60, of Newark passed away on May 18, 2024. A funeral service will be held at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. in Union on Saturday, May 25th at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at 10:30 prior to the service.
Born in Brooklyn, the daughter of Manuel and Evelyn (Bonilla) Pedre, Maritza had also lived in Puerto Rico for many years before moving to Newark in 2002. She enjoyed vacations, shopping and concerts.
Maritza was the beloved wife of Robert Schiller. She was the loving mother of Wilfredo Nieves and Odalys Cruz. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and a great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maritza’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
