~~Marjorie Danneman Hoagland, 95, of Pembroke, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Born on June 25, 1920 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Frederick and Amelia Reutsch Danneman, she spent the majority of her life in Hunterdon County with her husband of 56 years, Kenneth A. Hoagland who passed in July of 1997.

Marjorie graduated from Roselle Park High School in 1937, and the Whitman School in 1938. For most of her working career, she was a Travel Manager at Johnson & Johnson. Both she and Ken were avid worldwide travellers.

Throughout her children’s school years, she was a dedicated member of the PTA and served as president of the school board of the Delaware Valley Regional High School.

She was a former member of the Frenchtown (NJ) Presbyterian Church, and in her later years was a member of the Waterford (NY) United Methodist church and the Allendale United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, Florida.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth A. Hoagland Jr. of Pembroke, MA, and Stephen T. Hoagland of Hillsdale, NJ, a brother, Frederick Danneman Jr. of Mountainside, NJ, two granddaughters and 8 great-grandchildren. She also will be deeply missed by her partner in her later years, the Reverend George F. Miller.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 15 at 3:00 P.M. followed by a memorial service at 4:00 P.M. at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield NJ. Burial will take place the following morning in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Springfield, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
