Marjorie A. "Margie" Salin
04/09/1946 - 05/16/2019

Marjorie Ann Salin, “Margie” to her family and many friends, passed away peacefully at her beloved beach home in Surf City surrounded by her family on May 16, 2019.  She was 73.

Born in Summit to William R. Kelley, Jr. and Melina Tron Kelley, Margie was a life-long resident of Chatham.  She was a 1964 graduate of Chatham High School and then attended Nursing School at East Orange General Hospital, graduating in 1967.

Margie was an RN and Director of Nursing for Garden Terrace Nursing Home in Chatham for over 33 years.  She was a gentle touch to those in her care and a role model to those who worked with her.  In some of her spare time, Margie would volunteer with American Red Cross at their blood drives and she also served on the Chatham Borough Board of Health.

Margie enjoyed spending her time at Long Beach Island, and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, especially her grandchildren, and her grand-niece.

She was the beloved wife of Charles A. Salin “Charlie;” loving mother of Amy Mullin and her husband Eugene of Long Valley; devoted grandmother of Madeline and Brendan Mullin; and the cherished sister of Linda Weichert of Chatham.  She is also survived by her nephews, Kevin Weichert and Tim Weichert and his wife Erin, her grand-niece, Reilly Weichert, her niece Rachel Salin, her nephew William Salin and his wife Heather.
