Mary Anne Hull nee Clarke passed peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Overlook Hospital surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband Gerald Hull, and loving daughters Mary Clare Vogt (Hull), husband Robert of New Providence, and Joan Marie Hull of Freehold, and Lisa Leopold, grandchildren Michael Vogt (Eleanor Judge), Kevin Vogt (Ashley Harris), Hunter Leopold-Hull, Cassidy Leopold-Hull, and great grandchildren- Gabriel and Rosemary Vogt. She is also survived by nephew James Blahowicz and niece Laurie Blahowicz. She is pre-deceased by her parents Irene & Eugene Clarke and sister and brother-in-law Vera and Stanley Blahowicz.
Mary Anne was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and was a proud graduate of the former St. Bartholomew’s Grammar School and St. Nicholas Academy. She taught for the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart and the Pine Brook School in the Buffalo area. Mary Anne was one of the first Teaching Cadet graduates of D’Youville College and later taught as a permanent substitute in the Spotswood School System.
She is fondly remembered by close friends and loved ones in Buffalo, NY, Spotswood and Toms River, NJ and most recently at the Chelsea in Fanwood.
Guests will be received at a visitation which will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2016 at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081 from 4-7pm. A prayer service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Anne’s memory to D’Youville College, 320 Porter Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14201 or the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart, 1750 Quarry Road, Morrisville, PA 19067.
