~~Mary B. Mahr, 100, of Union passed away on September 29, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 767 Prospect St in Maplewood on Monday, October 3rd at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave in Union on Sunday from 3 to 7pm. Born in Patterson, the daughter of Stephen and Christine Praxl, Mary was raised in Irvington and had lived in Union since 1973. She had worked for many years as an administrative assistant with the Irvington Department of Public Works until her retirement in 1997. Mary enjoyed reading, knitting and crochet and recently celebrated her 100th birthday with many relatives and friends.
Mary was the beloved wife of 68 years to the late Martin. She was the loving mother of Ronald and his wife Irene and the late Richard. She is also survived by her cherished granddaughter, Ashley.
