Mary A. Collins, 82 of Florham Park, NJ and formerly of Massapequa, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at The Villa at Florham Park surrounded by her family.
Mary was born on December 29, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY and settled in Massapequa to raise her family. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Mary Collins.
She was a long-time parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church, Massapequa, NY. May had a deep faith and was always praying for her family and friends. In her spare time, she loved to cook, enjoyed watching movies and always had chocolate within reach.
She was the loving mother of Kevin Collins and wife Valerie and Scott Collins and wife Lisa and cherished Nanny May of Krystal Talarico and husband Michael, Tyler, Katelyn and Megan Collins. In addition , she is survived by her dear cousin, Kathleen “Kay” Cullen who was like a sister to her.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 pm & 7:00-9:00 pm at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd., Chatham, NJ 07928. A graveside service will be 11:00 am on Friday, May 3, 2019 at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
