Mary R. Brosonski, 100, of Whippany passed away at the Troy Hills Center on December 5th. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, Whippany Rd, Whippany on Monday, December 8th at 11:00am. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to visit at Bradley Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd, Whippany on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Mary was born in Hoboken and after marrying her husband, Michael, moved to Lake Hopatcong, then in 1949 moved to Whippany where they lived for 60 plus years. Mary was an active member of our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church. She belonged to their Rosary Society, was the church soloist for many years as well as singing in the choir and later on, being a lector. She was blessed with the voice of an angel.
Mary was the beloved wife of Michael who passed away in 1995. She was the loving mother of Linda Larkin and her husband Richard of Morris Plains, Michael D. Brosonski and wife Francine of Hackettstown, and Thomas Brosonski and wife Sally of Stanhope. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Timothy Larkin and wife Patricia of Whippany, Tracey Iturralde and husband Jeff of NC, Denise Clark and husband Kenneth of PA, Mary Flood and husband Ryan of NC, Andrew Brosonski of Hackettstown, and Dennis Brosonski of Belmar as well as 15 great grandchildren and her very dear friend Jeanne of Whippany. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Church.
