Marylane Burry, 75, of Tinton Falls, passed away on May 25, 2019. Born in Newark to George W. Burry, founder of the Burry Biscuit Company, and Madeline Burry, president of Helen Elliott Candies, the Burry family lived in Hillside, New Jersey. Marylane attended Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York until her father’s death, when she subsequently went to live with her mother in Springfield. Marylane lived a quiet life with great generosity and philanthropy. She was a woman of great faith, who remained close to the Sisters of Charity in the College of St. Elizabeth.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:15am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Avenue in Short Hills. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Short Hills. There will be a viewing in the church on Friday from 10am until 11am. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Marylane may be made to the Archdiocese of Newark.
