Michael Thomas Bergamasco, 51, of Whippany passed away on March 6, 2020. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 90 Whippany Rd. in Whippany on Friday, March 13th at 10:30am. Interment is private. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. in Whippany on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9pm.
Born in Summit, the son of the late Thomas and Alice (Woodring) Bergamasco, Michael was raised in Millburn where he graduated from High School in 1986. He was a Senior Surveyor for Mott MacDonald, Inc. in Iselin for over 30 years. Michael loved pickup trucks and “mudbogging” in his 1974 Chevy Blazer. In his early years, he enjoyed trips to the Jersey Shore and continued the tradition with his family at their favorite beach town, Ocean City, NJ. Michael will be fondly remembered for his devotion to his family and faith and how he always made time for his wife’s gardening, his daughter’s horseback riding and gymnastics events and the family dogs.
Michael was the beloved husband of 17 years to Nancy (nee Rabasca). He was the loving father of Francesca and Arianna. He is also survived by his dear brother Thomas Bergamasco and his wife Rosemary, his aunts, Jeanne Watson, Bette Gratta, uncles, Joseph Woodring and Bruce Woodring and nieces and nephews, Benjamin, Luke, Giavonna and Valentina as well as many loving relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bergamasco family.
