~~Myrtle E. Hornyak, 93, of Colonia, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016.
Born in Newark, Myrtle lived in Newark before moving to Colonia in 1955. She enjoyed a career as a secretary before raising her family.
Predeceased by her husband Albert, son Allen and sisters Hazel, Malvina, Florence, Vera and Ruth; Myrtle is survived by her son Robert and his wife Joan.
Myrtle enjoyed baking, playing board games, and spending time with family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:30am at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave., Union, followed by entombment of ashes at Hollywood Cemetery. There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday at the funeral home from 10am until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Myrtle may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the ALS Association.
