Nancy Lynne Tingley, 64, of Chatham Township, NJ, passed away on August 26, 2024. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd. in Chatham on Saturday, September 7th at 11am. Interment will follow at Fair Mount Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit family at the church from 10 to 11am prior to the mass.
Nancy was born in Rockville Centre, NY, the daughter of Robert and Kathryn (Wiskirchen) Pretzfelder and had also lived in Princeton and Basking Ridge before moving to Chatham. She graduated from Chatham Township High School in 1978 where she excelled in swimming, field hockey and track. Nancy attended Lafayette College on a swimming scholarship and graduated with a degree in Political Science. She was a Director with Magellan Health in Parsippany for many years, prior to that she worked at Prudential Group Health where she met her husband. In her younger years, Nancy was a lifeguard at Copper Springs and Noe Pond, assistant swim coach at Madison YMCA and later was a passionate swim mom for her children’s entire swimming careers and was actively involved in their academic success. She enjoyed reading, word games, the beach and travel with family and friends. Nancy was a proud wife and mother, a loving friend and will be remembered for her bravery and courage throughout her cancer journey.
Nancy was the beloved wife of Kevin. She was the loving mother of Brett and Nicole. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Margaret “Peggie” Ursini and her husband Nicholas and Kathleen ‘Kathy” Steele and her husband David as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
