Natalina Monaco, 97, of Millburn, NJ, passed away on September 9, 2023. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave. in Short Hills, NJ, on Thursday, September 14th at 10am. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. Visiting hours at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave. in Springfield will be held on Wednesday, September 13th from 4 to 8pm.
Natalina was born and raised in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Benevento, Italy. She was the loving daughter of Giovanni and Bambina Ruggiero. Natalina and 2 of her children came to live in the United States, in Millburn, NJ in 1958. She enjoyed working as a seamstress for many years at M & D, Inc. in Summit, NJ. She was also a longtime active parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Church. Natalina was a fabulous cook and baker and loved doing it for her family & friends. She always had an amazing vegetable garden with everything in it including broccoli rabe and a large fig tree!
Natalina was the beloved wife of the late Lorenzo. She was the loving mother of the late John Monaco (Cheryl), Phyllis Disbrow (Richard), and Mario Monaco (Debbie). She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jason and Tyler Disbrow, Anthony, Vincent and Matthew Monaco, Jennifer D’Alessandro (Arthur) and Julie Monaco Halleck (Robert), and her beautiful great granddaughters, Adrianna, Sofia, Isabella, Olivia, Natalina and Lucia.
She will be missed by all her loving family members and longtime friends. She leaves us all with beautiful and precious memories that we will always treasure! R.I.P.
