Norma Ursula Dowe, age 94, of Springfield, NJ passed away on April 18, 2023, at South Mountain Nursing Home from natural causes. She was born on September 11, 1928 in Grenada, and immigrated to the United States in 1978. She settled in the town of Summit, NJ, where she worked as a home health aide at Sage Eldercare for over 25 years. She was well-loved by her patients and co-workers who lauded her for her caring and compassionate ways.
Norma attended church regularly at The United Methodist Church in Summit. She loved singing, reading and knitting her favorite garments. Norma always had a smile, and was a very contented person. She was truly a gentle soul.
Norma is survived by six children, Bernice Griffith, Janis Griffith, Carl Angus Farray, Garth Farray, Garvin Hosten, and Nichol McMillan, fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Brent Omar Hosten.
