Olga M. Armstrong
Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother
Olga M. Armstrong of Westfield died at Brighton Gardens of Mountainside on Monday March 12, 2012. She was 94. Born and raised in Irvington, Olga moved to Westfield with her husband after WWII.
Olga was a long-time member of The Presbyterian Church of Westfield and active with the woman’s circle. She also volunteered at Overlook Hospital into her mid 80’s with over 30 years of service. She worked for Prudential in Newark as a secretary and left to raise her family. She was devoted to her family and until she died remembered all the names of her family, grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and more.
Olga was predeceased by her husband William A. Armstrong Sr. in 1997 and is survived by her children: William A. Jr. of Westfield, Gerald A. of Westfield and Nancy Marie Armstrong of Warren, Vermont. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
