Pamela A. Kunz of Chatham, New Jersey died on February 2, 2021. Pamela is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert H. Jones. Pamela did not “go gentle into that good night”. Although diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme, she lived her life to the fullest. .Pam took multiple trips with her family and friends to Europe, the Caribbean and domestic locations. She remained positive, kept her sense of humor and was brave up until the end. Mr. Jones would like to thank her nurse Richard at Atlantic Hospice and the many wonderful home healthcare aids (Juliette, Princess, Geraldine, Julien and Rose) who compassionately cared for Ms. Kunz at home. She leaves a legacy of grace and love to those who had the privilege to be part of her life.
Pamela was born in New Haven, CT on March 1, 1954. She was predeceased by her parents, James L. Kunz and Rita B. Kunz. Always a good student, she was the Valedictorian of West Haven High School, Class of 1972. Always modest, she downplayed her achievements. Pam graduated from Boston College with a BA in Mathematics and Economics in 1976. She enjoyed a long career in Information
Technology, working for the Prudential, Sea Land and Dun & Bradstreet. Prior to retirement, Pam was a Software Development Specialist with the State of New Jersey.
Pam volunteered with many organizations but particularly enjoyed time with The Connection for Women and Families in Summit where she taught English as a Second Language. Pam loved to read so it was a great fit. Pam treasured her book collection and had no interest in a Kindle; she joked she was a Luddite.
Pamela leaves her sister Kimberly K. Fitzgerald of Bridgewater,MA, (Michael, Devon and Camryn). Her brother Joseph B. Kunz (Amelia DeBaggis) of East Bethel, MN., sister Sharon Wise of New Haven, CT, brother James Kunz of Greene RI and extended family.
