Patricia A. Butterworth, 90, of Springfield, NJ passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Overlook Hospital.
Patricia was born on September 26, 1929 in Newark, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Helen (nee Garrity) Reznak.
Patricia was a 1947 graduate of West Side High School. She worked as a Medical Transcriptionist at Irvington General Hospital where she was a member/treasurer of the Irvington General Hospital Association.
Prior to moving to Springfield, she lived in Irvington, NJ., for 35 years where she raised her children.
She was a long-time member of St. James the Apostle Church in Springfield where she was a member of the Rosary Society and was a Eucharistic Minister. In her spare time she was an avid knitter and seamstress.
Patricia was the loving mother of (deceased) son, William C. Butterworth Jr., daughter, Eileen A. Marinacci and her late husband David, son, Paul K. Butterworth and daughter, Kathleen P. Bentancur. She was the cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 am on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at St. James the Apostle Church, 45 South Springfield Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081. An interment was followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. James the Apostle Church.
