Patrick M. Lanza, 69, of Denville, NJ, passed on Thursday, June 6, 2024. A lifelong resident of NJ, Patrick was raised in Whippany and graduated from Whippany Park High School in 1973. He subsequently received his BS from the College of St. Elizabeth, MBA from the University of Phoenix, and professional specializations from Villanova University.
Pat loved spending time with his family, and as a previous athlete could often be found supporting his grandchildren’s sporting events from the sidelines. He was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Knoll Country Club. On Friday nights he would often enjoy a glass of red wine and a cigar with his friend Klaus.
An accomplished business executive, Pat held VP and CIO roles throughout his career at Dunn & Bradstreet, McGraw-Hill, AIG/Chartis Insurance and Chubb Insurance. Pat served his community as a Chief of the Rainbow Lakes Fire Department and President of the Whippany Fire Company.
Pat is survived by his loving wife Susan Lanza (nee Manarevic), children David Carlson, his wife Lauren, and Stacy Ozol, grandchildren David and Caitlin Carlson and Juliana and Caroline Ozol, brother Joseph Lanza, his wife Rosemary, sisters-in-law Connie Nonn, her husband Klaus, JoAnne Fowler, her husband Bernie, brother-in-law Mark Manarevic, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph & Josephine Lanza.
Visiting hours will be Monday, June 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bradley Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd., Whippany, NJ. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 11 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 90 Whippany Rd., Whippany, NJ.
