Paula F. Bird, of Belleville, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013. She was 65 years old.
Born in Lima, Peru, Paula lived in Chatham, NJ for many years before moving to Belleville ten years ago. She earned her BA from Kean University and most recently worked as a manager for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield in Newark.
Paula loved all types of sewing and for many years enjoyed making clothing for her family. She also enjoyed outings to the Paper Mill Playhouse in Summit with her friends, going out dancing, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren, Justin and Honoré.
Paula leaves behind three devoted children, Jennifer Kerwin of Chatham, NJ; Joe Kerwin of Bend, OR; and Tracy Tiller and her husband Ben of Helena, MT. She is also survived by her brother, Bill Bird, of Montana City, TN. Paula is predeceased by her sister, Carole Bird.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation for Paula on Thursday, April 4 from 5-6pm at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street in Chatham. A Celebration of Paula’s Life will follow at 6pm at the funeral home.
