Paulette Pierre Jean-Louis, age 70, formerly of Canape-Vert, Haiti, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her beloved family on January 8, 2022.  Born June 18, 1951, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Paulette was the second born child of Renosil Pierre and Lucie Cadet.   At just 14 years old, Paulette found her passion as a seamstress and stylist making skirts and dresses for her classmates.  Paulette’s business, Jeune Boutique Prete-a-Porter in Bourdon, Haiti, allowed her to turn that passion into a career doing what she loved and traveling to the Dominican Republic, Curacao, Panama, and the United States to support her business.   In August of 1974, Paulette married the love of her life, the late Raymond Jean-Louis.  They were blessed with two daughters, Taina Raymonde Irene Jean-Louis, and Rachéle Valerie Jean-Louis. Full of love to give, Paulette would go on to adopt and raise as her own, nieces Medjine Pierre and Minouche Jean-Louis, daughter Ludmille Sashi Glaude, and son Kerry Ferdinand.

Paulette migrated to the United States in October 2006 to be with her daughters and family.  She found great joy in spending time and celebrating milestones with her children, grandchildren, and extended family.  A shining light and inspiration to all who knew her, she was a wonderful woman and a beautiful mother, leaving behind a legacy of devotion to family and love of life.

Paulette was predeceased by her loving husband Raymond Jean-Louis, her father Renosil Pierre, her mother Lucie Cadet, her brother Weiner, and sisters Carole, Edith, and Laurette.

She is survived by her devoted daughters Taina Jean-Louis Domond (husband Marcel-Harry Domond) and Rachéle Jean-Louis Velez (husband Jose Velez); adoring grandchildren Kassym Sébastien Domond and Khloe TaHarry Domond; her granddog Jasper Velez, her siblings Vital, Renold, Jean-Robert, Edgar, Kesner, Eveline, and Marie Jocelyn; nieces and nephews Katia, Medjine, Stephanie, Minouche, Farrah, Luc, Lenia, Ken, Karl, Billy, Carl, Jean-Marc, Jessica, Vanessa, Malik, Mackenley, Alani, P.J.; and many more family members and friends whose lives she impacted deeply and will cherish her memory always as she flies on angel’s wings.
