Pauline E. Quinlan, 86, of Morristown, NJ, and formerly of Chatham Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2024, with her loving husband, Paul, by her side.

Born in Waltham, MA, to the late Timothy and Mary (Burns) Muise, Pauline graduated from St. Mary’s High School, where she was admired for her intelligence, charm, and vivacity. She began her career at New England Telephone Co. before meeting the love of her life, Paul, at a dance in 1957. They married in 1959 and raised five children, eventually settling in Chatham Township NJ, for 46 years.

After dedicating herself to raising her children, Pauline embarked on a 25-year career at Bank of America as a Customer Service Representative, retiring at 70.

Pauline was active in her community, volunteering with Overlook Hospital TWIGS, Corpus Christi Church, and the PTA, where she served as president. She enjoyed tennis, gardening, knitting, playing bridge, and traveling with family and friends.

Her love for her children and grandchildren was boundless. She was delighted in being part of their school and sports activities, and particularly enjoyed organizing annual Thanksgiving crafts and Easter scavenger hunts for them.

Pauline is survived by her devoted husband, Paul, and their five children: Barbara Javornik (John), Michael Quinlan (Sarah), John Quinlan (Carol), Kathy Kane (Dennis), and Karen Mallow (Martin). She is also survived by her 11 beloved grandchildren: David (Rachel), Emily, Kylie, Matthew, Amy, Jacob, Jack, Will, Sean, Hannah, and Chloe; great-grandson Teddy; sister Marion Butler; sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert “Tim,” Charles, Chester, and George Muise.
