Pauline Mary Lock, 93, passed away on August 26, 2024. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd. in Chatham on Friday, September 6th at 11am. Interment is private. Family and friends are invited to visit family at the church from 10 to 11am prior to the mass.
Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of Paul and Athena (Desillas) Vlassopulos, Pauline had also lived in Livingston, Chatham, and Madison, NJ before moving to Brookfield, CT in 2021. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from LaMoyne College in DeWitt, NY. Pauline volunteered for several community organizations including Overlook Hospital’s Organ Donor program. She was a longtime active parishioner at Corpus Christi and served as a Eucharistic Minister. In her earlier years, while her children were in grade school, Pauline held various PTA positions. She was an avid Bridge player, enjoyed knitting, traveling, and loved to read.
Pauline was the beloved wife of the late Joseph H. Lock. She was the loving mother of Mary T. Whitten (Tim), Joseph H. Lock, Jr. (Susan), Anne A. Lock, and Timothy G. Lock (Angela). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pauline’s memory may be made to Corpus Christi Church.
