Phyllis S. Samuel
07/17/1926 - 09/12/2018

Phyllis S. Samuel was born July 17, 1926 in Belmont, Trinidad, W.I. She attended the Belmont Primary School and went on to higher studies at the community college.

Upon graduating she was employed to the Trinidad Guardian, Trinidad Publishing Co. Ltd., for ten years, and was employed by the Re-Diffusion Trinidad Ltd for some time. She then migrated to the U.S., where she was employed by Martindale Hubbell, (now Reid Elsevier), Inc., for fifteen years before she retired.

She loved to travel all over, from England to France, but the one she most enjoyed, was going to the Holy Land where she was baptized in the river, Jordan.

Visiting nursing homes and taking gifts to all who needed something, was her trend. Her laugh was very contagious, she had a certain voice to it, so you can’t help but burst out with laughter

Phyllis leaves to mourn all the Spence family and nephew Bami, and grandnieces and nephews. May her soul rest in peace and light perpetually shine upon her. Sister Phyllis you are one in a million.

A Service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Bradley Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Ave. Summit, NJ.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Phyllis will be laid to rest with her mother Violet at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.
