Richard J. Quagliato

Richard J. Quagliato, a long-time resident of Springfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and friends at his home on October 2, 2021. He was 60 years old.

Born in East Orange, Richard grew up in Newark and was very proud of his roots. He was a graduate of Vailsburg High School. He later received his Journeyman Certificate and was a member of Carpenters Local 1342 for over 10 years before going to work for RWJ Barnabas University Hospital in New Brunswick, where for last 30 years he was still acting as Compliance Officer and carpenter.

Richard was a member of St. James the Apostle Church in Springfield and was an avid NY Yankees and Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved spending time at home with his girls and schooling them every night in Jeopardy.

He was the beloved husband of Anna Marie “Annie” Quagliato (Fadden) his childhood sweetheart of over 46 years; loving father to Caitlin Quagliato and her fiancé, Michael Dasti, of Millburn; and Jennifer Quagliato and her fiancé, Saverio Binetti, of Springfield; cherished brother of Janet Baggott of McGaheysville, VA; and loving Brother-in-law and Uncle to many. He is predeceased by his parents, Archie and Janet Quagliato of Union; and his beloved Best Friend of 20 years, Bubbles.
