Richard McCabe, 79, of Chatham, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2018.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Nora; son Kieran and his wife Barbara; daughters Ann and her husband Mark, Maureen, Brenda and Patricia; grandchildren Claire, Ian and Kevin (Haney) and Jackson and Kayla (Rava); sister Mary Ellen Parker and nephew Bryan Parker.
Richard had a successful 43-year career at Merrill Lynch. He was passionate about helping others in his community. Upon his retirement, he joined the Chatham Emergency Squad. He also served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Patrick Church, taking holy communion to the homebound and nursing home residents.
To Richard, his family was his greatest treasure. He built a wonderful life for his loved ones and will be missed dearly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 26, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick’s Church, 85 Washington Ave. Chatham. Interment St, Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison, NJ. Visiting hours, Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St. Chatham, NJ.
