Richard W. Swenson passed away in his home on November 14th at age 87. He was a long time resident of Chatham. Richard was a very kind-hearted and generous man who cared for his mother, Louise Swenson, until her passing on November, 1993. Richard attended Dartmouth College on a full scholarship, graduating in 1955. He worked for Bell Laboratories, and was a supervisor for AT&T. Richard was an avid golfer and had a membership at the Basking Ridge Country Club for many years. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Lachenmayr; nieces, Gail Liss and Linda Pingitore; nephew, Dr. Richard Lachenmayr; and 3 great-nephews, Adam Lachenmayr, Graham Pingitore and Cole Pingitore.
