Robert A. Hunt, 89, of Morristown, NJ passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
Robert was born on September 26, 1925 in Newark, NJ. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick M. and Eleanor R. (nee Sergison) Hunt.
Robert grew up in Asbury Park and Irvington, N. J. He was married to June M. Hull for sixty years and lived in Chatham and Convent Station. He served in the Navy during World War II in the South Pacific on an LSM.
He was employed at Underwood Mortgage (Irvington) for 35 years. He loved real estate, built houses and was also a broker and appraiser and worked for Frank H. Taylor, Morristown, NJ. He enjoyed golf and belonged to Springbrook Country Club for 55 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, June Hull Hunt; his loving daughters Ellen Horsfield and Laura Hunt, and son-in-law, John Schanck. He was the loving grandfather to Stephen Robert, Geoffrey Hunt, and Taylor Scott Horsfield and his great-grandson, John Hunt Horsfield. He was predeceased by his brother, Bruce Hunt.
A visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. A funeral service will be Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Morris Minute Men EMS, P.O.
