Robert B. Potter, 96, passed peacefully on March 6, 2013 at his home in Springfield. Born in Rahway, he lived in Ocean Grove, NJ. He spent most of his life in Springfield. Robert was an Air Gunner in the Army Air Corp during WWII, 1943-1945. He was a Supervisor with the Road Department for Union County for many years, retiring in 1982. He loved the Jersey Shore and fishing off their beaches. He was also a member of the Springfield American Legion. Robert is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ursula Potter (nee Baber), his son Robert and his wife Debra, three grandchildren, Kevin, Jessica and Christopher and four great-grandchildren, Nikolas, Alex, Alyssa and Ashlee. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 12 pm at the Bradley Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave, Springfield, NJ. Visiting hours will be from 11 am until the start of the service. Interment Springfield Presbyterian Cemetery.
