Robert E. Schiller, 64, of Newark, passed away on September 9, 2024. A Prayer Service will be held at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. in Union on Saturday, September 14th at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:30 to 11:00am prior to the service.
Born in Newark, the son of Edward and Marianne (Heuss) Schiller, Bob was raised in Bloomfield where he graduated from High School in 1978. He earned his degree in electrical engineering from Rutgers University. Bob worked as an electrician with ITT, Inc. in Nutley prior to joining the family business, Schiller Electric & Co. in Belleville, NJ.
Bob was the beloved husband of the late Maritza Pedre who passed away in May. He was the loving father of Robert V. Schiller and Gianna M. Schiller. He is also survived by his brothers, Frank Schiller (Barbara) and Edward Schiller (Andrea) as well as many loving relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
