Roger Theodore, 88, of Union and formerly of Hillside, NJ passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 15, 2016.
Roger was born on April 30, 1928 in Leogane, Haiti. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Horace and Servilie (nee Rebecca) Theodore.
Roger loved helping others, liked to tell jokes, enjoyed singing and riding bikes. He loved God.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Yvonne Rebecca. He was the loving father of nine children; daughter, Carole Jean-Louis, daughter, Jocelyne Theodore, son, Andre Tony Theodore, daughter, Jamanique Theodore, son, Roger Richard Theodore, son, Yves Theodore, daughter, Sophia Theodore, son, Gerald Theodore,and daughter, Marie Medjine Theodore. He was the cherished grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was also survived by a brother, Mercilien Juste and sister, Mersiline Juste.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from to 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Avenue, Union, NJ 07083. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, 971 Suburban Rd, Union, NJ 07083. An interment will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, NJ.
