Rosaria Parziale
05/14/1954 - 10/26/2021

Rosaria Viola Parziale, 67, of Union, NJ passed peacefully on October 26, 2021. Born in Gela, Sicily to Guiseppe and Maria Viola. At age 16 Rosa moved to the United States with her parents and sister Emanuela and lived on Court Street in Brooklyn, NY. She was soon introduced to her soon to be husband Frank. A few years later she married her beloved husband, and together they lived in Jersey City, NJ. Rosaria and Frank had two daughters Jaime and Joanna. In 1991 the foursome moved to Union, NJ where they have resided since. Rosaria worked in factories as a seamstress with her sister-in-law’s Lina and Carmela, but she also loved to make clothes for herself and her family. She made beautiful communion dresses and a prom dress for her lovely nieces; not to mention some really awesome Halloween costumes! Living in Union she made many friends with her neighbors who knew her as Rose or Rosa. She was known for her welcoming personality and great cooking. She fed anyone who came to her home. She cared for her great-nieces before she became a cashier for Shoprite in Union. Her final years she helped raise her granddaughter Francesca while her mommy went to work. Even though Frankie was only able to spend 4 years with her Nonna, the love her grandmother had for her was indescribable.  Rosaria led a very simple life, but what she did in her life, is to be remembered by all. She loved her family, she lived for her family. She is survived by her husband Frank E. Parziale, her two daughters, Jaime Parziale and her husband Dominik Mercuro, Joanna Parziale and her fiancé, Charles Collins, grandmother of Francesca Rose Parziale. She is also survived by her siblings, Emanuela Giacolone and Frank Viola. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 10:15 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 1212 Kelly St. Union, NJ. Visiting hours, Monday.
