Rose J. DiGavero

It is with great sadness that the family of Rose Josephine DiGavero announces her passing on January 1, 2023 at the age of 80.

Rose was born to the late Jerry and Florence Cassara on August 27, 1942. She graduated from West Side High School in Newark, married Philip, and moved to Caldwell. She moved to East Hanover in 1986 and lived there for over 35 years.

Rose was known for her tremendous hospitality and delicious Italian cooking. She loved dancing, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends. For ten years, she bowled weekly with her sister as a member of the Boonton Lanes Bowling Team. She was a beloved member of The Crossing Church for over 40 years.

Rose is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Philip DiGavero; her children, Gina Rudolph (husband Gregory), Philip (wife Tia), Jason (wife Rebekah), and Laura Simini (husband Justin); her grandchildren, Rachel, Andrew, Maria, Alia, Jacob, Sophia, Abigail and Valentina; her siblings, Vinny, Jerry, Tony (wife Suzi), and Florence; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home in Whippany, NJ on Friday, January 13th from 6pm-9pm with a prayer service starting at 8:15pm. This will be followed by a private graveside ceremony on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rose’s name to The Crossing Church (www.tccnj.church 222 Laurel Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039).
