Rose Trovato
06/24/1930 - 05/31/2023

Rose Trovato, 92, of Emmaus & Allentown, passed away, after a long and beautiful life, on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Joseph Trovato, Sr., who passed away on April 29, 1988.

Rose was born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Giacomo and Caterina Licari.  She attended Browne Secretarial School and worked at 20th Century Fox in New York, NY.  After marriage, Rose and her husband, Joseph, moved to New Providence, NJ, where she resided for the next 35 years.  In NJ she was employed by Roselle Screw Machine Company, St. Patrick’s Church of Chatham as well as Franklin State Bank of New Providence.  In her retirement, she moved to Port St. Lucie, FL and then to Kennesaw, GA.  In her twilight years, Rose moved to the Lehigh Valley, in close proximity to three of her four children.

Rose had a green thumb in the garden and had a magic touch with African violets.  She enjoyed music and dancing and was known for her love of butterflies and her namesake, roses.  She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, playing Canasta and dominoes.  Enjoying a high tea with her daughters and grand daughters were cherished times. Anyone who knew her knows that her favorite singer was Vic Damone with Frank Sinatra running a close second.  She was young at heart and spicy – getting a tattoo at age 75. She even went to a Michael Buble concert with her daughter, grand daughter and great grand daughter at the age of 88!   Her family was her life and she found the most joy from being surrounded by her loved ones, all of the time, and especially at Christmas.

She is survived by her sister, Frances Vita, of Long Island, NY as well as her children – son Dr. Joseph Trovato and his wife Stephanie, son Alan Trovato, daughter Serena Raciti and her husband Leonard, daughter Tina-Marie Oravetz and her husband Paul; her cherished grandchildren – Jay, Diana, Christina, Martina, Nicholas, Daniel, Collin and William;  and great-grandchildren – Isabell, Lucas, Gabriella and Kenneth and her loving longtime companion, Walter Olson.

May Rose rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her.  May her walk with Christ be as the emerging of a butterfly from a chrysalis and may her path to heaven be lined with roses.
