Ross G. Murdoch

Ross G. Murdoch died at his home on Saturday, December 10, 2011. He was 61. Born in Montréal, Quebec Canada, he was raised in Chateauguay Quebec. He came to the US since 1979 raising his family in Chatham NJ, and Chester, He later moved to Jersey City and returned to Chatham in 2010.

Ross is survived by his wife Patricia (Whalen); children: Erin and her husband Dan Kirchoff of Manhattan NY, Christopher Murdoch and his fiancé Sarah Hollis of Charleston SC, Kimberly Murdoch of Chapel Hill NC; brother, David Murdoch and his wife Anne of Oakville Ontario; sister in law Beth Molloy-Whaley and her husband Jeff of Oakville Ontario; mother in law Lorna Whalen of Burlington Ontario; bother in law Brendan Whalen and five nieces & nephews. Ross was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Donelda (Gilbert) Murdoch.

Ross was a Senior Vice President of Broker Management at Tullett-Prebon in Jersey City. He first started with the Montreal Stock Exchange in 1974, became a Foreign Exchange Dealer with the Canadian Banker’s Association and later worked with the Royal Bank of Canada before working for Tullett-Prebon in 1982.

Ross coached Little League in Chatham and Chester; was a member of the United Methodist Church in Madison and later in Morristown. A big fan of the Montréal Expos he loved biking, cooking and loved the search for the perfect island which he found; Hopetown Abaco in the Bahamas.
