Born on September 13, 1929 in Leeds, England, where he served in the National Service of England. He had a dream of living in America. That dream came true in 1959 settling in New Providence, NJ with his wife and 2 young kids.
He worked as a painter and bartender at Summit Hotel. He landed a job at Everest & Jennings working his way up from to manager of warehouse, manager of training and education to his ultimate goal of owning his own business – Chair Care. He was president of the New Providence High School Band for many years.
He was known for playing practical jokes with his friends – even named it “GOTCHA”. He loved to going to dance parties with his good friends, basement parties, going to his grandkids games, deck parties with his neighbors and hanging with all of our friends.
He traveled to England 2 times a year to visit his family – enjoying time with his sister-in-law, nieces and nephews.
His happy place was Vermont on his boat with his family – going on sunset cruises, campfire confessions, going on camping trips and watching his kids, grandkids and great grandkids enjoy themselves.
We will remember his British smile, sarcastic humor, kindness and generosity. His infectious charm reached all generations.
