Roy “Bud” Jeannette, 83, of Chatham, NJ, passed away on June 16, 2023. A Funeral Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd. in Chatham on Wednesday, June 21st at 11am. Interment is private. Visiting hours at Wm. A. Bradley & Son, 345 Main St., also in Chatham, will be on Tuesday, June 20th from 4 to 8pm.
Born and raised in New Haven, CT, the son of LeRoy and Lorraine (Sherman) Jeannette, Roy had also lived Mineola, NY, before moving to Chatham in 1980. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree, from Queens College in Queens, NY, and his MBA from St. John’s University, also in Queens, and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962. Bud was the owner of Ferrite Welding Products in Chatham which he established in 1987. A parishioner at Corpus Christi since 1980, he was also a member of the American Legion in Florham Park and a volunteer youth coach. Bud also coached a travel fast pitch softball team (North Jersey Panthers) for 12 years. Bud was an avid reader and loved the beach. He was a devoted husband and father, and his four granddaughters were the light of his life. He will be fondly remembered as the ultimate family man and for his quiet and unassuming nature who was always willing to help anyone who needed it.
Bud was the beloved husband of 46 years to June. He was the loving father of Kevin Jeannette and his wife Michelle and Kristin Roussel and her husband Charlie. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Samantha and Madilynn Roussel and Claire and Emily Jeannette.
