Russell W. Polo, 85, of Whippany, NJ, passed peacefully on December 12, 2018. Born and raised in Morristown, NJ, Russell lived in Whippany since 1962.
Russell is survived by his wife of 57 years, Araksy Polo, (nee Akillian), and three children daughter Roxann Polo Reasor and her husband William Reasor, son Russell and his wife Sandra, son Randy and his wife Alison and four grandchildren, Mia Polo Reasor, Anthony Polo, Anna Polo and Erin Polo.
Russell worked as a realtor for 53 years becoming a licensed Real Estate Broker in 1981, launching “Polo Country Property Realtors,” of Mendham New Jersey, which he was still actively managing. Russell will be remembered for his ability to always leave people smiling.
Russell enjoyed gardening and his passion was raising and showing orchids as an active member of the “North Jersey Orchid Society.” He was a member of the Hanover Township Landmark Commission and a life-long member of the Presbyterian Church in Morristown.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11 am at The Presbyterian Church of Morristown. Visiting hours, Sunday, 1 pm to 5 pm at the Bradley Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. Whippany, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Russell’s name may be made to: The Presbyterian Church of Morristown Commemorative Fund, 57 E. Park Pl. Morristown, NJ 07960.
