Ruth A. Franz

Ruth A. Franz, 91, of Union, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013. Born and raised in Newark, Ruth lived in Irvington before settling in Union 50 years ago. Ruth earned her undergraduate degree from Newark State Teachers College, where she belonged to the Alumni Association. She earned her masters degree from Teachers College, Columbia-University. Ruth had a 40 year career with the Union Board of Education, more recently as a child psychologist with the Child Study Team. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 11am at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave., Union. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
